I’m not sure whether to file this under That Sure as Shit Didn’t Take Long or Wow That’s Wildly Fucking Inappropriate, but Monday (yeah, we’re a little behind here at MB) Adam & Eve Pictures announced they would be producing a video based on Tiger Woods and his recent extra-curricular activities.

The film will be aptly-titled: Tiger’s Wood. If you didn’t cringe just now, there’s something seriously wrong with you.

Tiger will be portrayed by Tyler Knight. In a move that suggests Adam & Eve decided poor taste wasn’t in their top ten list of concerns, Kayden Kross will portray Tiger’s wife, Elen Nordegren.

Now I’m all for a good parody. Airplane is a classic, and a perfect example of parodies done right. You might say it’s the benchmark for film parodies, even. On the other end of the spectrum, you can literally choose any of the phenomenally bad Jason Friedberg/Aaron Seltzer films (Disaster Movie, Epic Movie, Meet the Spartans) as a perfect example of bad parody. Porn parodies, to this point anyway, fall under the latter category, unfortunately. Parody is a complicated thing, and dressing someone up in a familiar costume and vaguely attempting to recreate a scene from a film is not parody. It’s cheap imitation. It doesn’t matter if during the cheap imitation someone pulls their cock out and starts fucking, it’s still not parody. I digress.

I’m sure it’ll sell like hotcakes, if anything just for the tongue-in-cheek factor, but I can’t help but feeling like maybe Adam & Eve could have taken the high road on this one. Tiger has children, and he pretty much took a tactical nuke to his family. A porn “parody” in production before the divorce is even settled? Bad form indeed.
